Selten werden hochwertige, professionell hergestellte Filzexponate in Ausstellungen gezeigt. Eine sehenswerte ist derzeit in den Niederlanden, in Nagele am IJsselmeer zu bestaunen: Sculptural Felt International mit dem Titel „We felt like crossing borders“ beinhaltet über 70 Arbeiten von 12 internationalen Filzkünstlerinnen von unglaublicher Vielfalt. Die Objekte sind liebevoll in einer ehemaligen Kirche arrangiert. Sowohl Filzanfänger als auch -fortgeschrittene kommen auf ihre Kosten, weil sie inspiriert werden für eigene Werke oder überlegen, wie das ein oder andere Objekt hergestellt worden sein könnte. Aber auch generell Kunstinteressierte haben selbstverständlich ihre Freude.

Bis zum 23. November 2014 ist die Ausstellung von donnerstags bis sonntags von 13 bis 17 Uhr geöffnet. Bevor sie in Australien gezeigt wird, ist sie vom 18. Januar bis zum 12. April 2015 im Museum de Kantfabriek in Horst (in der Nähe von Venlo).

High-quality, professionally produced felted objects are rarely shown in exhibitions. A remarkable one can currently be admired in the Netherlands, in Nagele, close to the IJsselmeer: Sculptural Felt International entitled „We felt like crossing borders“ includes more than 70 works by 12 international felt artists of incredible diversity. The objects are lovingly arranged in a former church. It’s worth a visit for both beginners and advanced felters as they are inspired or think about the applied techniques. But also people generally interested in the arts are welcome, of course.

The exhibition is open from Thursdays to Sundays from 1 to 5 pm until 23 November 2014. Before it will be moved to Australia, it can be visited vom 18 January to 12 April 2015 in Museum de Kantfabriek in Horst (near Venlo).
